Spill Your Heart Out

On September 18th we attended the Heartland Cultural Alliance's (link) "Spill Your Heart Out" exhibition.

I created a new image for the show.  I wanted to create a passionate image full of life and color yet with a negative over-tone.  I found a place in our city that all of the drainage for the down town streets flows directly into Lake Jackson.  (I have since learned that this water is in fact, filtered, and not quite the horible situation as I first thought :)  This was immediately after a rain storm, in fact, there is still light rain falling.  The shot is composed of two images blended to create a high dynamic range image.

I called the image, "Look Away" and it won best of show!

HCA Gallery at The Sebring Airport

The Gallery at the Sebring Airport is hung and open for viewing!  We'll be in and out down there tomorrow.  If you want to stop by, give us a call to find out when we are going to be there.  Most of what is on display is not new work, however it is a little easier to enjoy, as we were able to fill the space a little better without being cramped.

The center piece is "The Florida Trail at Bluff Hammock."  I hope to have this printed in the 40x113 version in the next few weeks.  I love the shot but this is a large print and really must be perfect, it's taking a while to finish correctly.

Another display will be up in the coming weeks in Avon Park.  I'll announce the location as soon as we have decided exactly what photographs to display.  I will say that's it's a very nice place and known for it's art selection.  The restaurant owner has agreed to clear out half of her walls to accommodate my prints, it's a huge area.

Display At Brewster's Goes Down

Just wanted to let everybody know.  I have removed my display at Brewster's Coffee House.  Don't worry, it's coming back!  My current set of photographs are going to be moved to the Sebring Airport's Gallery!

New photographs will go up at Brewster's very soon; followed by a new series to be opened at the Sebring Airport Gallery.

HCA Gives Bill Dailey Sebring Airport Gallery

For the months of October, November and December, the Heartland Cultural Alliance (link) will be hosting Bill Dailey in their gallery at the Sebring Airport.  The gallery had it's first opening last month featuring Jim Fitch, a well known Florida artist and gallery owner.

Bill will have at least one event scheduled for late November, date to be determined.
